2026 Season Donation Drive

Last chance before the year closes.  The Longhorns are looking to raise $30,000 to support their operating expenses in 2026.  This is the third of the three notices that will go out this calendar year.  Please, if you are able, donate electronically via the website ( www.utlacrosse.com ).  Find the " Donate " link on the toolbar and then   use the window on the right  which is dedicated to gifts directly to team operating expenses via their Rec Sports account. Alternatively you may gift via check: Checks should be made payable to  The University of Texas at Austin.    Please have the donor put “Men’s Lacrosse - Donation” in the memo field for the check.   If you want to ensure that the donor receive a receipt for a large donation, I ask that they confirm their mailing address if it is different than what is on their check.  We do deposit donation checks into their Donation Account unless explicitly told to put it in the Endow...

A Bonanza of Central Texas Youth Lacrosse; the Texas Longhorns Hosted Weekend Tournament. Dec. 6th & 7th, 2025

--Written By Alumni Texas Lacrosse Reporter; George Vance McGee (Austin Silent Market Real Estate Broker Associate 512.657.9281 georgevance@gmail.com)   After I acquired a legal & rare parking spot in the North Loop neighborhood in the morning, I took an easy stroll over to EPOCH for a smooth and calm morning drip coffee awakening. Post caffeination, it was now time for my Texas Longhorn Lax Shootout baptismal experience. Surprisingly, this was my 1st ever in-person Longhorn Youth Tournament Weekend Experience. Simply put; There's a lot going on! The Texas Intramural Fields circa 51 & Guadalupe street are looking pristine, upgraded, green, well-kept and ready for action. I witnessed a festival of lacrosse! Every field in sight my eyes could advance and venture to was brimming with Active Youth or High Lacrosse players, coaches, parents, volunteers, friends or family. I'd guesstimate there's roughly 2 thousand + physical humans in attendance at all times on site. Sat...

Longhorn Lacrosse Fundraising Campaign Click here to Donate $$

The University of Texas Lacrosse Team has opened its donation portal for the 2025-2026 campaign. https:// texaslacrossedonate.com/ The goal is to realize $30,000 to be used for a variety of reasons.  There is a new donation page on the website that will explain what the money will be used for and guide you through a process for giving.   In reviewing, it appears that the process is electronic and does not accommodate giving via check.  There are alumni who prefer to use a checkbook for larger donations and so please do the following: Checks should be made payable to  The University of Texas at Austin.    Please have the donor put “Men’s Lacrosse - Donation” in the memo field for the check.   If you want to ensure that the donor receive a receipt for a large donation, I ask that they confirm their mailing address if it is different than what is on their check.  We do deposit donation checks into their Donation Account unless explicitly ...

For those unfamiliar, this is a youth tournament (peewee through high school) that is sponsored and managed by the University of Texas Lacrosse Team. This event was the brainchild of the legendary Dave Alter back in 2003 and has been around every year since with the exception of 2021 and 2022 when the country was locked down during the Covid 19 pandemic. Funds raised from the effort (primarily from entry fees paid by participating teams) are used to support the cost of the upcoming season. There are some 75 teams who will attend.
