Longhorn Lacrosse Fundraising Campaign Click here to Donate $$

The University of Texas Lacrosse Team has opened its donation portal for the 2025-2026 campaign.https://texaslacrossedonate.com/

The goal is to realize $30,000 to be used for a variety of reasons.  There is a new donation page on the website that will explain what the money will be used for and guide you through a process for giving.

In reviewing, it appears that the process is electronic and does not accommodate giving via check.  There are alumni who prefer to use a checkbook for larger donations and so please do the following:

  • Checks should be made payable to The University of Texas at Austin.
  • Please have the donor put “Men’s Lacrosse - Donation” in the memo field for the check.
  • If you want to ensure that the donor receive a receipt for a large donation, I ask that they confirm their mailing address if it is different than what is on their check.
  • We do deposit donation checks into their Donation Account unless explicitly told to put it in the 2010 Endowment. Any check for the endowment just needs to be noted in a letter or in the memo.

Mailing Address:

The University of Texas at Austin
Attn: Recreational Sports - Bridget Jones
2101 Speedway Stop D7500
Austin, TX 78712

This fund-raising campaign is open for the next sixty days.  Given the number of people who can participate and have participated; and the amount of time allotted to getting this done it seems as if it should be possible to do this.  A relevant Alumni Association includes financial support. Please step forward with an amount that your budget allows however large or small.  Thank you for what gets done.

A Bonanza of Central Texas Youth Lacrosse; the Texas Longhorns Hosted Weekend Tournament. Dec. 6th & 7th, 2025

--Written By Alumni Texas Lacrosse Reporter; George Vance McGee (Austin Silent Market Real Estate Broker Associate 512.657.9281 georgevance@gmail.com)   After I acquired a legal & rare parking spot in the North Loop neighborhood in the morning, I took an easy stroll over to EPOCH for a smooth and calm morning drip coffee awakening. Post caffeination, it was now time for my Texas Longhorn Lax Shootout baptismal experience. Surprisingly, this was my 1st ever in-person Longhorn Youth Tournament Weekend Experience. Simply put; There's a lot going on! The Texas Intramural Fields circa 51 & Guadalupe street are looking pristine, upgraded, green, well-kept and ready for action. I witnessed a festival of lacrosse! Every field in sight my eyes could advance and venture to was brimming with Active Youth or High Lacrosse players, coaches, parents, volunteers, friends or family. I'd guesstimate there's roughly 2 thousand + physical humans in attendance at all times on site. Sat...

The Scrimmage that Felt & Lived like a Game. Texas Longhorns emerge Victorious 10-8 over the Div. 3 Southwestern Pirates

Cold Night, Hot Lacrosse Action.  January 30th 2026. On a chilly cold winter night, The Texas Men's Lacrosse team began their 2026 Spring season with a Scrimmage vs the Div. 3 Level Southwestern Pirates from Georgetown, TX. It was an abundant crowd, that was well-bundled up and coated for a cold evening. Those of us fans whom did show up in person, were gifted an intense match of legit dual-team effort, timely coach strategized time-outs and impressive lacrosse gameplay action.   The game in general was refereed fairly, as both teams were able to play aggressively and yellow flag penalties were only thrown when warranted. Some basic insights I gathered from Southwestern parents and alumni in the crowd. Southwestern is a small 1,200+/- person Methodist religion based, liberal arts college, with yearly tuition at an astronomical $60,000 per year. A Southwestern parent with a son playing on the Division 3 Level team informed me their active players usually get roughly ...

"We're talkin bout Practice." NBA Basketball legend and the original AI, Allen Iverson. Texas Men's Lacrosse Club Team Kicks of Spring 2026 with 1st practice of the year January 14th, 2026..... . Written by George Vance McGee 1.15.2026 The Texas Men's Lacrosse Club Team commenced with the beginning of their 2026 Spring Season, with their 1st practice of the year, and first team practice under the tutelage of new Head Coach Louie. Observations and Notes: The team has  1 full time female Athletic Trainer on site for all events, practices, games etc. She is technically an employee of Ascension Medical yet is hired by Texas Rec Sports. A kind intelligent, caring woman whom helps the players. The Team is coming off 3 straight years of LSA (Lone Star Alliance) Conference Championships I visually head counted roughly 38-40 +/- players in participation on the field for the team's first practice of the year From 6-8 pm, Jan 14th the weather was a cool, manageable 59 ...
