The Alumni Living Legend Temple Causey has officially retired and passed the Alumni Gameday Reporting to who? Click here to learn more and follow this 2026 Spring Season.
Hello and Greetings University of Texas Longhorns Lacrosse Club Alumni.
I was appointed and passed down the Texas Lax Gameday volunteer Reporting duties baton, from the living legend himself, Mr. Temple Causey. I think Temple thought of asking me to volunteer for this specific position because 1.) he knew I enjoyed attending the Texas Lacrosse Club Caven Field games in-person 2.) had an affinity for promoting and being proud of the Texas Longhorns Lacrosse Club 3.) I've indie published 3 books and have experience with creative, original writing.
A little about me, I'm currently 44 years old, married to a beautiful half-asian woman from Missouri Ms. Sheila Fish and am the father to 2.5 year old happy toddler girl Miss Bonnie Fish McGee. I work full time as a Real Estate Broker practicing sales, leasing, development in Austin and Central Texas. Yes I have time for new real estate business clients, and alumni referrals: georgevance@gmail.com. www.AustinSilentMarket.com Our family resides in the close-in and improving St. Elmo, SoCo neighborhood of 78745 South Austin, Texas. Quality Beer Visit Tip: St Elmo Brewery or Vacancy Brewery.
I'm a University of Texas liberal arts graduate where I majored in History and minored in Business Foundations and Spanish. I was a 3 year Texas Lacrosse Club Player during the years 2000-2003. I was also a Texas SAE fraternity member. I played under the coaching tutelage of Head Coaches Andy Parker and Jasen Trautwein during my spring playing seasons. Was I any good on the team during my playing days? I was on the 3rd middie line with a lefty strong playing style, so I was talented and strong enough to get some serious on field action, yet was not burdened with the majority of the "snaps" like the more active 1st and 2nd middie lines. During my Texas Lax Club years all games and practices occurred at the Intramural Fields circa 51st and Guadalupe, near North Loop. One of my favorite general playing era memories was just conversing and listening to my teammates' jovial, hilarious bull-shit stories and tales during the stretch warm up sessions at each practice. I also enjoyed our team's travel trips to New Orleans, Las Vegas, Ann Arbor Michigan, and San Francisco, California.
At Austin High School 1996-2000, I soaked up lacrosse knowledge from legendary 2x Texas High School state winning coach Mr. Rich Weigand. Rich instilled within me and our entire team that playing lacrosse was fun! At Austin High School I was an All-State recognized player during my senior season in 2000. FYI, we also beat the notorious Westlake Chaps my senior year @ Chalmers field and I recall scoring 4 goals in that game. I participated in the All State High School Game in 2000; the day after our prom at House Park Field in Austin, Texas, with the Local TV sports camera crews rolling.
Now that the baton has been passed and entrusted to me, I plan to be an attentive, authentic reporter for the Texas Longhorns Lacrosse Club Alumni. My goals are to grow the Alumni and Email News list, as it currently hovers around 288 alumni. I've created an online google blog to read, peruse and archive the reporting titled: https:// texaslacrossealumni.blogspot. com/ The University of Texas Lacrosse Alumni Reporter. I've created a Twitter / X Handle to live tweet, report from games with scores, photos, etc. the Twitter / X handle: @TXLaxAlumniNews, Follow. Postgame reviews will be emailed to all yall via my Mailchimp email software blast service, if you are not getting the emails check your spam or promotions tab folder and mark the emails as primary. I'm also open minded to your Alumni Feedback and Suggestions on how to improve, or what information is most important to you.
Horn's up, Always.
