#1 Ranked Club, Utah Valley University Wolverines confidently win vs. Texas Horn's Lacrosse. UVU 18 - Texas 7.

Feb. 21st George Vance McGee online streaming viewer game-review

Via You-Tube online live stream, the opening viewpoint of the field is that of green-colored and clean turf, surrounded by white as a ghost snow on the ground. The Horns last game of the Utah 2 game plane-trip.

Utah Valley U, (UVU) starts the game with a blitz, it's 5-0, before Texas wakes up. Texas responds with 2 goals to make it 5-2.

Interesting tidbit about Utah Valley University Wolverines whose mere existence I'd yet to be aware of before today," Enrollment of 48,000 students making it the largest publicly enrolled university in the state. More Students than the more nationally well-known red & white Utah Utes.'

I noticed the Texas Horn's player sideline appeared diminutive in physical numbers, compared to the stocked green and black home uniformed UVU. Our player bench looked shallow. Did the whole team not make the trip, hmm?

The game itself; well go back and read the game report vs. #2 BYU Cougars, and this #1 ranked UVU match played out dishearteningly the same.

Texas did play some effective 6 man ZONE defense which slowed the UVU offensive barrage of shots for a period of time. Texas again was manhandled on midfield faceoffs and I'm not kidding per the Streaming Announcers, won their 1st midfield faceoff late in the 3rd quarter.

Halftime Score UVU 12 - Texas 3.

When Texas did play quality defense or create a turnover they had challenges clearing the ball.

3rd quarter scores on my notepad:

UVU 13 - Texas 3

UVU 13 - Texas 4

UVU 15 - Texas 4

UVU 15- Texas 5

UVU 16- Texas 6

By the 4th quarter, the game was mentally over for both teams. UVU inserted their backups and some freshmen lines in the 4th quarter.

Please have a safe trip home Texas Men's Lacrosse team, parents, fans and coaching staff. Let's find a way to get our confidence and winning mojo back, soon!

Victory Slips Away at Home as Texas Horns Lose to Boston College 14-13 in Double Overtime

Victory Slips Away at Home as Texas Falls to Boston College, 14–13 in Double Overtime George Vance McGee, Alumni Reporter – In-Person Viewer georgevance@gmail.com February 13, 2026 There’s nothing like a Friday night at Caven Field, and as a proud Texas Lacrosse alumni, I was happy to be there in person, on a balmy early spring ATX weather night. Unfortunately, this game ended in heartbreak as our Horns lost to the visiting Boston College Eagles Club Team in double overtime, 14–13. Yes = Double Overtimes. A Sluggish Start — On and Off the Field The Horns started a little sluggish, but once they found their rhythm, they really got going. The scoreboard, however, never quite did. After three or four attempts to revive the malfunctioning Caven Field scoreboard, it officially got fired. From that point on, the on-field referees were responsible for keeping time, score, and order. A rare home-field bummer for the Texas Longhorn atmosphere — but the crowd stayed engaged and present. First H...

The Scrimmage that Felt & Lived like a Game. Texas Longhorns emerge Victorious 10-8 over the Div. 3 Southwestern Pirates

Cold Night, Hot Lacrosse Action.  January 30th 2026. On a chilly cold winter night, The Texas Men's Lacrosse team began their 2026 Spring season with a Scrimmage vs the Div. 3 Level Southwestern Pirates from Georgetown, TX. It was an abundant crowd, that was well-bundled up and coated for a cold evening. Those of us fans whom did show up in person, were gifted an intense match of legit dual-team effort, timely coach strategized time-outs and impressive lacrosse gameplay action.   The game in general was refereed fairly, as both teams were able to play aggressively and yellow flag penalties were only thrown when warranted. Some basic insights I gathered from Southwestern parents and alumni in the crowd. Southwestern is a small 1,200+/- person Methodist religion based, liberal arts college, with yearly tuition at an astronomical $60,000 per year. A Southwestern parent with a son playing on the Division 3 Level team informed me their active players usually get roughly ...

A Bonanza of Central Texas Youth Lacrosse; the Texas Longhorns Hosted Weekend Tournament. Dec. 6th & 7th, 2025

--Written By Alumni Texas Lacrosse Reporter; George Vance McGee (Austin Silent Market Real Estate Broker Associate 512.657.9281 georgevance@gmail.com)   After I acquired a legal & rare parking spot in the North Loop neighborhood in the morning, I took an easy stroll over to EPOCH for a smooth and calm morning drip coffee awakening. Post caffeination, it was now time for my Texas Longhorn Lax Shootout baptismal experience. Surprisingly, this was my 1st ever in-person Longhorn Youth Tournament Weekend Experience. Simply put; There's a lot going on! The Texas Intramural Fields circa 51 & Guadalupe street are looking pristine, upgraded, green, well-kept and ready for action. I witnessed a festival of lacrosse! Every field in sight my eyes could advance and venture to was brimming with Active Youth or High Lacrosse players, coaches, parents, volunteers, friends or family. I'd guesstimate there's roughly 2 thousand + physical humans in attendance at all times on site. Sat...
