It Feels Good to Win. Texas outlasts Colorado State Rams 13-7 in front of a packed Friday Night Crowd.

The No-Doubter MVP of this game for our Texas Longhorns was #12 the Goalie, Mr. Cian Levine. This man was stone-cold impenetrable all game and especially during the 1st half. The Texas Goalie was stuffing attackman right at the crease's doorstep, like a cement block. He even drew a yellow-flag man-up penalty on a clear and allowed very few goals despite ample CSU on-cage shot attempts. Cian was an imperative ball-handler in breaking the press and clearing the ball.  Literarily the only thing Mr. Goalie Levine did NOT do this specific game was score a goal. He carried us the 1st half. My fellow alumni agreed upon our goalie's all-star prowess and nodded in unison toward halftime.

Physically our opponent Colorado State was more of a quick and speedy team. The Rams appeared less burly in physique and shorter in stature. I think Texas's bigger players, size and depth eventually wore the CSU Rams down in the 4th quarter.

Caven Field Ambiance Review; This Friday night game under the powerful lights was packed and peacefully crowded. Dare I say the most populated crowd I've ever seen @ Caven Field for a Horns home game. The silver bleachers were full and overflowing onto the sides. People were freestyle sitting wherever. I even saw a picnicking fan group. It warmed my heart to see so many people and fans so pleased and happy to watch this game, action sport and home team! Did the 90 second on field shot clocks break down = Yes. Did the Big Scoreboard Work this game = Nope. Was it still enjoyed by all humans in attendance = Yes. Was it a perfect early spring weather night in Austin, Texas = Yes.

Scores I Jotted down:

Texas 1- CSU 0

Texas 1 - CSU 1

Texas 2- CSU 1

Texas 3 - CSU 1

Texas 4- CSU 2

Texas 5 - CSU 2

Texas 5 - CSU 3

Texas 6 CSU 3

Texas 7 CSU 4

Texas 8 - CSU 4

Texas 8 CSU 5

Texas 8 CSU 6

.....At this point the game was getting snug and CSU was chirping with some visitor sideline energy.

But NOT tonight, Texas grabbed the game by the horns and went on a drowning 5-0 Scoring run to close out the game in the 4th quarter. Final Score Texas 13 - Colorado State Rams 7.

Perhaps a Team Healing type of Mid-Season Win. --George Vance McGee Feb. 27th. 2026.

Victory Slips Away at Home as Texas Horns Lose to Boston College 14-13 in Double Overtime

Victory Slips Away at Home as Texas Falls to Boston College, 14–13 in Double Overtime George Vance McGee, Alumni Reporter – In-Person Viewer georgevance@gmail.com February 13, 2026 There’s nothing like a Friday night at Caven Field, and as a proud Texas Lacrosse alumni, I was happy to be there in person, on a balmy early spring ATX weather night. Unfortunately, this game ended in heartbreak as our Horns lost to the visiting Boston College Eagles Club Team in double overtime, 14–13. Yes = Double Overtimes. A Sluggish Start — On and Off the Field The Horns started a little sluggish, but once they found their rhythm, they really got going. The scoreboard, however, never quite did. After three or four attempts to revive the malfunctioning Caven Field scoreboard, it officially got fired. From that point on, the on-field referees were responsible for keeping time, score, and order. A rare home-field bummer for the Texas Longhorn atmosphere — but the crowd stayed engaged and present. First H...

The Scrimmage that Felt & Lived like a Game. Texas Longhorns emerge Victorious 10-8 over the Div. 3 Southwestern Pirates

Cold Night, Hot Lacrosse Action.  January 30th 2026. On a chilly cold winter night, The Texas Men's Lacrosse team began their 2026 Spring season with a Scrimmage vs the Div. 3 Level Southwestern Pirates from Georgetown, TX. It was an abundant crowd, that was well-bundled up and coated for a cold evening. Those of us fans whom did show up in person, were gifted an intense match of legit dual-team effort, timely coach strategized time-outs and impressive lacrosse gameplay action.   The game in general was refereed fairly, as both teams were able to play aggressively and yellow flag penalties were only thrown when warranted. Some basic insights I gathered from Southwestern parents and alumni in the crowd. Southwestern is a small 1,200+/- person Methodist religion based, liberal arts college, with yearly tuition at an astronomical $60,000 per year. A Southwestern parent with a son playing on the Division 3 Level team informed me their active players usually get roughly ...

A Bonanza of Central Texas Youth Lacrosse; the Texas Longhorns Hosted Weekend Tournament. Dec. 6th & 7th, 2025

--Written By Alumni Texas Lacrosse Reporter; George Vance McGee (Austin Silent Market Real Estate Broker Associate 512.657.9281 georgevance@gmail.com)   After I acquired a legal & rare parking spot in the North Loop neighborhood in the morning, I took an easy stroll over to EPOCH for a smooth and calm morning drip coffee awakening. Post caffeination, it was now time for my Texas Longhorn Lax Shootout baptismal experience. Surprisingly, this was my 1st ever in-person Longhorn Youth Tournament Weekend Experience. Simply put; There's a lot going on! The Texas Intramural Fields circa 51 & Guadalupe street are looking pristine, upgraded, green, well-kept and ready for action. I witnessed a festival of lacrosse! Every field in sight my eyes could advance and venture to was brimming with Active Youth or High Lacrosse players, coaches, parents, volunteers, friends or family. I'd guesstimate there's roughly 2 thousand + physical humans in attendance at all times on site. Sat...
