Victory Slips Away at Home as Texas Falls to Boston College, 14–13 in Double Overtime George Vance McGee, Alumni Reporter – In-Person Viewer georgevance@gmail.com February 13, 2026 There’s nothing like a Friday night at Caven Field, and as a proud Texas Lacrosse alumni, I was happy to be there in person, on a balmy early spring ATX weather night. Unfortunately, this game ended in heartbreak as our Horns lost to the visiting Boston College Eagles Club Team in double overtime, 14–13. Yes = Double Overtimes. A Sluggish Start — On and Off the Field The Horns started a little sluggish, but once they found their rhythm, they really got going. The scoreboard, however, never quite did. After three or four attempts to revive the malfunctioning Caven Field scoreboard, it officially got fired.
